I admit, I was very 'gung-ho' about this whole program when Tracy first told me about it. But life happened and I got pre-occupied with school. But now that school is done - I'm ready to commit. I'm glad that there is some sort of support system to help me through it.
I guess I'll start with my goals. I don't really want to set an unrealistic weight goal - so I won't set one. My main focus will be on working out as often as I can and eating healthy and hopefully I will be rewarded with the benefits. :)
My cousin's wedding is in 4 months (August 15) and even though that is the 'mid-point' - I want to look good for then.
So...my WORKOUT PLAN: Do some kind of workout at least 5 days a week:
Right now here is the class schedule at my gym(s).
Monday: Kickboxing OR Yoga Tuesday: Step/Ball Wed: Boot Camp OR Yoga Thursday: Total Body Sculpt Friday: BootCamp Saturday: Body Sculpt OR Pilates
On days where I cannot make it to the class I will either run in my neighborhood or do a video at home.
MEAL PLAN: Will come next week. Waiting for Easter to pass ;)
Progress so far: Day 1 - April 7th - Did the Step/Ball class. It was fun, I was surprised at how hard it was to keep up. I guess thats what happens when you don't work out for months!
Day 2 - April 8th - Did the bootcamp class. It was HARD (Instructor is a beast of a woman)! Tons of pushups - which I hate (I have to practice these). I forgot my water in my car so I got dizzy partway through. But I stuck through most of it. I left 50 minutes in. Next time I will do the full class (which is supposedly 1.5 hours)
Yay! you're updating. Try to update it whenever you can. If you can't daily, at least post what you did. This blog is great b/c you can see what works and what doesn't work.
It's ok that you didn't finish the hard boot camp class. it's your first week back. 50 mins is a good enough cardio, and I'm sure next time you'll finish the class. and in no time you'll find it easy.
I guess this is a "there and back again" type blog. I once was fat, then I was skinn(ier), and now once again I am fat.
I've made the decision (once again) that I need to make some changes, but this time, make them for good. I am married now. I have a house, a wife who loves me, a great family, an amazing support network of friends, and a dream of starting my own family. I have reasons... more then ever before, to take my life back...
