I really enjoyed this blog when I was getting fit for the Cruise last year (May 2008) and for Vanessa's Wedding (August 8, 2008). I found it very helpful and when people participate, it's also very motivating.
I don't have any weight goals for the wedding. I find when I put a weight goal and I don't reach it, I get disappointed easily. Some people may look at that as motivation, but it's hard for me to. So I just want to eat healthy, be happy with my body and look frickin good for the wedding.
I've been working out for the past week but let's make the workout official on Jan. 12/09. I don't really have a workout routine planned at the moment since skating takes up all of my time during the weeknights. I'm debating on buying Turbo Jam, butI have the power 90 dvds at home, which is what I'll be doing everynight after I teach. In the beginning of April, skating ends and I'll be able to post a regular workout schedule.
Yikes. Today is my official start date. This morning I had a healthy breakfast. We will see how the rest of the day goes:
This weeks workout plan: Monday: 6:30 Cardio Pump & Crunch Tuesday: 7:30 Yoga (or Power 90) Wednesday: 6:30 TMC (ball workout) Thursday: Power 90 Friday: Rest Day Saturday: Run 5k (depends on weather) or Body Core Secrets or Power 90 Sunday: Rest Day (actually I skate for 3 hours on Sunday, but it's not a real cardio workout for me, so i count it as a rest day).
So I didn't have a good dinner, but I managed to control myself to only eat one bowl of soup. Except I woke up this morning STARVING for food. My workout was amazing. I tried to pick up from where I left off, but I'm out of shape. And tired. I guess skating at Winterfest (competition) yesterday didn't help the leg workout, but I really enjoyed Lisa's classes. I can't wait until March/April when I can be more consistent going to the gym.
My meals were crap today, which is what I expect for a Tuesday. I work my f/t job, then drive to Yonge & Eglinton to teach for 3 hours and then I made it back to Mississauga to take my yoga class. I was exhausted (and still am).
I've decided not to workout tonight b/c my body is aching. I am debating if I should get another membership w/ the Valleys, but we'll see. This is only the 2nd week of teaching for me, and by week 4 i'm usually worn out.
If anything I'm going to try to eat healthier before I can fully commit to my workout routine.
I worked out my schedule for the next 5 months becuase I have an exam to write at the end of May. It looks like I have to sacrifice b/n studying or working out. I really hate my job now, but if I study, these exams will take me where I need to go, so workout is on hold. I'll make every effort to work out and I plan on eating healthy still. So it's not like I'm compeltely out of it...I just won't be working out as hard as I'd like to.
its all good tracy. that's more important right now. just stay active (even tho u already are very active with skating) and watch the diet. even without training seperately, u can still do well!
This is my last week of skating. After April 2, instead of teach 4 nights a week, I will now only be teaching one night a week (and that's only for 7 weeks).
Here's my plan from April 3-May 17 Run - Mon/Wed/Fri(maybe)/Sat Cardio/yoga - Tues/Thurs
Actually, I'm not sure what I'll do on Tuesday/Thursday. I plan on doing Turbo Jam & Biggest Loser dvds (Thanks to Mary who let Shaun burn them for me).
I hope to join the gym on May 18th so I can do: Monday - Cardio Pump & Crunch Tuesday - Yoga Wed - Ball class (with Wendy) Thurs - Run Friday - Run Saturday - Step or Run Sunday - Boot Camp
I Thought about doing hot yoga, but that's way too expensive. we'll see how it goes.
Now I have to work on eating properly....no more cinnamon raisin bagels toasted w/ butter :(
Ooo, I forgot to mention, I'm trying to watch what I drink & condiments I use when I eat.
So, as much as I love Orange Juice, I'm going to give it up for a bit.... No more Diet Coke (only on cheat days) No more jam/honey for breakfast. i love salt, so I"m keeping that in the diet...and toyo
I'll try to be detailed when I post my daily meals.
Meals: 1. WW English Muffin w/ 1 slice of chicken bacon, cheese & 1 hb egg. 2. hb egg, yogurt w/ peanuts, cottage cheese 3. angus burger, corn & two small croissants w/ pb 4. white rice + ribs + 2 cups of salad w/ cheese
Workout: Biggest Loser workout #1
Meals yesterday were very difficult. In the morning, I was great, I felt good, I planned to cut down on sugar - no sweets. I even walked away from a box of timbits (one of the loves of my life). By 3:00 pm, I was craving chocolate and wanted to have either a chocolate chip cookie or hot chocolate. I got rid of that craving by drinking lots of water & crystal light.
The biggest loser workout was a lot harder than I thought. I'm going to try out the 'maximum results' workout, so yesterday I did workout #1, which made me start to sweat at the warm up. By the time we did the punching (I'd say about 6 minutes into the workout), my butt was cramping. My butt still hurts, so tonight I'm going to try turbo jam. I'll try to get in a 5th meal, but eating at 9 is very late for me. ugh, maybe i'll have a protein shake.
Overall, day #1 was successful, minus the fact i gave into my croissant w/ peanut butter. Day two will be better.
Meals: 1. WW English muffin w/ 1 slice of chicken bacon + hb egg + cheese 2. angus burger w/ corn + hb egg 3. chicken breast w/ corn 4. 3 eggs (scrambled) w/ cheese, 1 cup of salad in a wrap
Workout: TurboJam - CardioParty
I wasn't hungry (at all) for my 5th meal. I was so sore from the Biggest Loser dvd that Turbo Jams Cardio party was difficult. Today, when I woke up, I was lying on my back and couldn't roll over to my side b/c I was so sore from working out. This getting back into shape business is so frickin hard!i can't wait till I get used to it again. It's quite the challenge to make myself workout, but i'm quite impressed that I do it (and study after I workout). Today I'm planning on doing the easy 20 min Turbo Jam workout + AbJam...or maybe I'll do the biggest loser...we'll see
Meals: 1. ww english muffin w/ cheese + 1 scrambled egg 2. chicken breast + string beans 3. chicken breast + corn 4. rice (yay) + some filipino dish w/ soup, beef, vegetables + those egg w/ ground beef ommlets 5. raisin bran w/ skim milk
Workout: Rest day
I was so sore yesterday. I would cough and my ribs hurt. I mean, I love being sore, but this was beyond what I'm used to. I did play wii fit, just to do some yoga and stretch, but that doesn't count as a workout. my meals, I know i over ate, esp in the last two meals. I felt like I had never eaten before :(. It's harder to get into this workout compared to last time. Oh, maybe b/c I'm writing on this blog myself. i do enjoy the blog. it keeps me on track. Also, it's my conscience b/c if it were just me, i'd probably cheat until August and then kick it into gear. but 3 months, that's not enough time to look good. Today I teach skating for an hour. Hopefully, if my kids don't wear me out, I'll do the biggest loser workout, since tomorrow is a holiday.
Meals: 1. 1 ww english muffin w/ 1 scrambled egg & cheese (no ketchup) 2. yogurt w/ peanuts & cottage cheese 3. 1/4 chicken (dark) + seaweed salad + other 1/2 of peanut snack pack 4. 1/4 chicken (white) w/ rice & salad 5. 1 can of calm chowder (in a 2 hour window)
Workout: none
I wasn't able to workout yesterday b/c after work I came home, prepared my lesson plans & CD for skating, taught skating from 8-9:30 and watched ice princess after. I was just to tired after teaching, those kids can drain me. Next time I coach I should try to work out in the morning (if only I could get up).
My meals weren't so good yesterday. well they were, with the exception of clam chowder. I wanted soup, and I know I should not have had creamy, but I didn't plan on eating the entire can.
Gotta stick to it.
on a side note, This morning (Good Friday) I did the biggest loser workout and it was much easier than the first day. I wish I pushed myself to do the other workouts, but I need to study. *back to studying*
I'm somewhat disappointed in myself. With this being a long weekend, I didn't eat so well. Friday morning I did attempt to eat properly, but I had carbs during every meal. and for dinner (at Emil's house) there was fried calamari, which I couldn't turn down.
Friday Morning was the only workout I did (Biggest Loser). It was a lot easier than the first.
Saturday and Sunday were write offs too. No workout. Sunday I had my chocolate fix (yay).
I don't remember this being so difficult, but I'm losing motivation. ugh Tomorrow I'll try to kick it back into gear.
Workout & Meals for April 13/09Meals: not very good today 1. 1 slice of 12 grain bread w/ scrambled egg & cheese 2. cottage cheese, yogart + nuts 3. rice w/ turkey and hor dervs (how ever you spell that), apple pie, & mango 4. rice w/ turkey + 2 chocolate chip cookies (mmm) 5. 1 piece of mango
Workout: Biggest Loser workout #1&2
Yesterdays workout was really good! I'm getting through workout 1 better than the first day. Workout 2 was all cardio and i was dead after 5 minutes of it (10 min workout) My meals, weren't so good. I was studying at the library, and came across some homemade cookies. I couldn't resist. so i ate the chocolate chip cookies. They were very good.
Workout & Meals for April 14, 2009Meals: 1. 12 grain toast (w/ margarine) + cheese & scrambled egg. 2. 1 chocolate chip cookie, cottage cheese, yogart & sky flakes 3. turkey breast & corn (with a little stuffing) 4. turkey breast & corn (with a little stuffing) 5. eggplant & egg + rice & turkey soup
Workout: 50 minutes of spin class.
Okay, spin class, not my thing. My butt hurts, my legs were on FIRE 5 minutes before the class even began (when we were warming up). I couldn't make the tension very high b/c I couldn't pedal at the high speeds the instructor (or mary) were going at. Not a big fan. But Mary and I will go again in 2 weeks. I'm getting lazy preparing my meals, but something must be working b/c I can see a small change in my body. Plus the dress pants I'm wearing actually fit this week (last week I had to keep one of the three buttons un-done b/c it as too tight).
Today's a rest day (yay). My butt hurts from that bike seat. damn you bikes.
Workout & Meals for Wednesday, April 19, 2009Meals: 1. 12 grain toast w/ margarine, scrambled egg & cheese 2. yogart + sky flakes & cottage cheese 3. pasta salad w/ chicken schwarma 4. steak + vegetables (with about 5 pieces of chocolate) 5. timbits (6 timbits eaten in a 2 hour time frame)
Workout: none
My meals were good, until the end of the night when I was a bit upset. (the picture thing). Don't want to get into too much detail, but I think I'm going to have to put working out on hold for a while. I'm getting a little bit stressed about my exam, because I don't feel ready.
this sucks. I like working out. there's just enough time in a day to do it
I really admire you for going through the trouble to prepare your meals. I know when i did the south beach diet - it takes a lot of work. which probably why i didn't last too long on it. Especially since your eating 5 meals a day! I know what you mean about spinning...makes you wonder how people have kids after that! ahha I say you keep going back to what you enjoy. it keeps you motivated - and if you hate the exercise you are doing you'll have a negative attitude towards it. :)
i'm going back to the gym today...i'll update my blog tonight.
I'm back! My Exam is Done. Skating is Done. I truly have nothing but my f/t job until say, mid august.
So I'm dedicating myself to working out. I still want to do a tri-athlon, so once I start my gym membership, I'm going to go swimming at least once a week. I figure if I force myself to swim once a week, it may eventually lead to two times a week.
So this is my tentative plan: Monday: 6:30 Cardio Pump & Crunch -- if I don't have skating Tuesday: 7:30 Yoga Wednesday: 6:30 TMC class Thursdays: Swim in the morning (6:30 - 7:30) Run in the evenings (if I don't swim) Friday: run or workout @ home Saturday: Run/workout at home Sunday: Boot Camp
So that's the plan...i'm not entirely convinced that I like it. I do miss my membership to the Valleys and I hope to keep it during the winter season when i'm coaching. We'll see
in the meantime, here is my meals and workout for Tuesday May 19, 2009Meal 1: Italian bread (2) with margarine and havarti cheese Meal 2: yogurt & granola + cottage cheese Meal 3: italian bread + margarine & cheese (i didn't want to go out for lunch) Meal 4: chicken, ribs, rice & peas w/ carrots Meal 5: 4 chicken wings with Rice
Workout: 60 minutes of Belly Off (this article Nessa showed me. in 8 weeks I can lose my belly).
I figure I'll try this belly off thing. It's 3 workouts a week, and I'll be working out at the gym or running on top of that. I need to lose all this back fat that I've gained in the past how many months.
Meals and Workout for Wednesday May 20, 2009Meals: 1. 1 ww english muffin w/ havarti cheese & two scrambled eggs 2. 1 orange, 1 yogart w/ granola 3. 1 chicken breast w/ salad & cheese + yogart & granola 4. cottage cheese 5. fried rice w/ two pieces of fried chicken wings & vegetables +roast beef sandwich on 12 grain bread 6. 1.5 oreo cookies
Workout: 3km walk (that's being generous). I was supposed to go biking w/ Emil, but he had some work to finish up, so I walked by myself, imagining what it would be like to win 49 million dollars.
Workout & Meals for Monday, May 25, 2009Meals: 1. ww english muffin w/ cheese + 2 hb eggs 2. chicken shwarma + cucumber & mango salad (sounds gross but pretty good. it was actually two different salads that I ate together) + Diet Pepsi 3. yogart + granola 4. 2 glasses of pineapple juice (i couldn't help the juice) w/ rice & chicken + cyote and spinach. I think it's called tinola.
Workout: 5k run. Well, according to my nike I ran 5.29km in 33'55. I know it's a 5k that I ran, but hey, i'll take the 5.29 km. Also, I decided to sprint for 100m near the end of my run (which was a bad idea and I will continue to do it each time I run). Painful but I did it :)
So I slacked last week, but this week I promise to do better. I got measured for my bridesmaids dress the other day that fit me last March, but wouldn't zip up last Thursday. I had an argument with the sales person on the size of my dress, which I gave into what size she recommended. But I cannot wait to see her face when she sees that I should have ordered the size I said to. Anyhow, I promise to work out at least 5 times a week. Working towards running the Toronto Marathon (well, only 1/2) on Octber 18, 2009. Time goal: 2:30:00
Meals and Workout for Tuesday, May 26, 2009Meals: 1. 1/2 a 12 grain bagel w/ sausage, egg & cheese 2. yogart + granola 3. baked chicken breast w/ frozen corn (mmm i love frozen corn) 3b) double shot cappucino with 1 splenda pack 4. pork w/ rice with 1 glass of pineapple juice
Workout: According to my ipod chip: 5.33km in 33'27. So I think I kind of cheated b/c I stopped my ipod before I crossed the street, when usually I stop my ipod after I cross the street. And I stopped it before b/c I had to wait for the light to change so I can cross the road. I'd like to think I ran faster today than I did yesterday...But I'm scared to check. I do know that I ran longer today and stopped when I felt I needed to stop, but knew that I did not need to stop.
As for my eating. I haven't been hungry lately. Not sure why. But eating 6 meals is difficult. And I think I'm still eating too much at each meal. Maybe that's it. I'm also loving espresso...mmmm. Not sure if it's good or bad for me, but I'll try to limit to one cappucino per week. and I'm trying to cut down on juice, but I just love it too much. I had one glass today, which is better than my two glasses yesterday.
Meals & Workout for Wednesday May 27, 2009Meals: 1. 2 pieces of 12 grain toast. 1 w/ PB & banana, the other with PB & jam 2. 1/2 12 grain bagel w/ sausage + egg + cheese 3. mandarin chicken salad from wendys 4. small portion of salmon, rice & pancit (very small bowl) 5. 2 hot dogs (big, Emil knows what brand) + rice & ketchup
Workout: none. i was so sore from running two days in a row I thought I hurt myself. I'm great today (it's thursday) but i'm getting a mani/pedi, so no workout today. Tomorrow I'll run 4 K b/c I'm saving up for Saturday's 8K
Workout & Meals for Thursday, May 28/09Meals: 1. 12 grain bread w/ peanut butter & jam (i think) --crap, i can't remember any meal except for dinner I had Pork chop w/ rice
Workout & Meals for Saturday, May 30, 2009Meals: 1. 12 grain toast w/ peanutbutter & honey 2. 2 subs - turkey breast & procutto/salami w/ lettuce and havarti cheese 3. something -- can't remember what 4. something 5. hot dog & corn beef w/ rice
Workout - 5 miles (8km) in 55'06
Workout & Meals for Sunday, May 31, 2009Meals: 1. 1 over easy egg w/ rice and chicken breast (1/4) + 1 mango minus the seed 2. pasta + hamburger w/ rice 3. wine gummy candy 4. chicken wings & Pergoies from turtle jacks.
Workout: Skating (1.5 hours - though I normally try not to count that as a 'workout) and baseball
again i try not to count 'skating' & baseball as a work out, but I'm so SO tired! I know it's from my 5 mile run too. Can't wait to get my valley's membership :) then it's back to classes.
OMG I am so out of shape! my abs kill and my arms hurt. I thought my legs would hurt but OBVIOUSLY I'm not working hard enough. It sucks being as big as I am, especially since the Valley's mirrors are not forgiving.
Workout & Meals for Thursday, June 4, 2009
Meals: 1. Breakfast sandwich w/ bacon on a 12 grain bagel 2. burbon chicken, sechwan beef + fried rice 3. 6 inch ww turkey sub 4. rice + mussels + 3 chicken wings
Workout: none -- I had to work 40 hours in 4 days b/c I need Friday (tomorrow) off. I had a job interview in Toronto, so I went to work from 6:30-9, interview from 9-12:30, work from 1:30-8:30pm. I'm a little bit tired. I'm going to take today as a rest day BUT Arlene offered me a cream puff and i turned it down :) woo hoo
I tried to run 5K today. I don't feel so motivated to run. I think mostly it's b/c I'm lonely when I run. I just don't feel like running. and I stop when I know , that I could keep up. *shrugs* Maybe once I lose some weight it'll get better. Or, I was thinking of running w/ the Running room group, but they run on Wednesdays (conflicts w/ my ball class) & Sundays (synchro practice). We'll see.
Anyhow, Today is my Chocolate day :D woo hoo! I <3 Chocolate!
I didn't make a lunch yesterday, so my lunches today were crap. I was so hungry, with no cash (boo) so i ate my leftover chips that I bought two weeks ago when i was bingeing.
Anyhow, my workout was great! I walked into the gym, not wanting to be there, b/c today was such a 'blah' day. But after talking to Lisa, telling me that I should be excited to be at the gym, I felt better. It was step class, did two risers (died) and I hope I wake up tomorrow in (good) pain.
No workout today, went out for Arlene's b-day. I was good that I didn't break my chocolate craving and had a prailene & cream ice cream instead. Though I miss chocolate chip ice cream from Baskin Robbins but it's not Saturday today.
I wasn't as sore as I thought I'd be, but hopefully tomorrow's workout will be GREAT! Actually, it will be great :D can't wait!
I also walked to and from work today. It took 25 minutes one way, and i got a little bit of a tan. I'm going to try walking to/from work when it doesn't rain. It doesn't make sense for me to drive anymore since I don't have to rush to be somewhere after. I just have to get used to waking up earlier than 7;30 to get to work for 8am. my shoulders hurt from TMC class. It was SOOOOO hard. Mary works out like it's easy, but i can't compare myself to her b/c she's been consistent for - who knows - how long. I've been working out for a week :) I can feel my body change. I should really measure myself.
(note to self, this class is EXTREMELY difficult, but well worth it)
Friday June 12/09 No workout and not healthy at all. My last meal was chips + dip & 1 can of coors light -- Penguins won the stanley cup, so i was celebrating
Saturday June 13/09 no workout and not heathly at all. my chocolate day.
Sunday June 14/09 Workout: Boot Camp (75 minutes). My legs are tired. And we have baseball tonight, but that doesn't count as a workout.
Lisa's class was cancelled b/c the auditorim room was being renovated. So I did the kick boxing class w/ the lady who's super duper fit. the class was challenging..and so good.
I've come to appreciate the Valley's b/c the classes are more challenging and difficult. Since the valley's was closed this week, i've gone to Rivergrove. I did a pilates class on Monday @ 8:30, which was amazing! But the Wednesday 7:30 class (@ rivergrove) was shit. Didn't do anything for me. No challenge at all. The most we did was 2 mins of skipping, and people in the class were already whining about it...i guess it's low impact class. I've made a mental note to never go there.
We're off to the cottage for a week. I hope I can do some sort of workout there.
:( I just looked @ a recent photo from a friend's wedding shower. Boy do I look gross. :( somehow I feel, no matter how hard I am trying to eat well and work out more, it's not working the way it did last year.
I'm thinking, I'll have to start to do more cardio if I want to get rid of my belly. I feel like that super huge fat guy from Austin Powers. I'm really hating cardio, but if I have to look, I have to look good. *sigh*
We're going to Boston this weekend. I'll try my best to not eat A LOT of chocolate chip cookies, & I'll try to be good. It sucks going away.
I guess this is a "there and back again" type blog. I once was fat, then I was skinn(ier), and now once again I am fat.
I've made the decision (once again) that I need to make some changes, but this time, make them for good. I am married now. I have a house, a wife who loves me, a great family, an amazing support network of friends, and a dream of starting my own family. I have reasons... more then ever before, to take my life back...

Glad to have you back on board!
Power 90, Turbo Jam, they're all good. just a matter of which u wont get bored of. maybe use both and alternate.

My workout was amazing. I tried to pick up from where I left off, but I'm out of shape. And tired. I guess skating at Winterfest (competition) yesterday didn't help the leg workout, but I really enjoyed Lisa's classes. I can't wait until March/April when I can be more consistent going to the gym.
eww skyflakes and yogurt? is that even good? lol.
good stuff with the classes!
it sux at first since the idea of 'getting back' means you are out of shape, but it just feels so much better when you actually get back.
woot, beach body!
Workout & Meals for Tuesday Jan 13/09
Workout: Mind, Body & Core (60 mins)
Meals:
Meal 1: 1/2 12 grain bagel w/ peanut butter & honey

My meals were crap today, which is what I expect for a Tuesday. I work my f/t job, then drive to Yonge & Eglinton to teach for 3 hours and then I made it back to Mississauga to take my yoga class. I was exhausted (and still am).
I've decided not to workout tonight b/c my body is aching. I am debating if I should get another membership w/ the Valleys, but we'll see. This is only the 2nd week of teaching for me, and by week 4 i'm usually worn out.
If anything I'm going to try to eat healthier before I can fully commit to my workout routine.
Workout & Meals for Wednesday, January 14/09
Workout: None--I was exhausted from my two days of working out (plus I competed over the weekend so I guess that can contribute to why I was tired).
Meals:
1. 1/2 12 grain bagel w/ peanut butter & honey
2. Yougart w/ sky flakes
3. meatloaf & vegetables
4. 6 inch cold cut combo sub w/ honey mustard sauce
5. 1/4 chicken (dark) w/ potatoes & coleslaw
Here's my plan from April 3-May 17
Run - Mon/Wed/Fri(maybe)/Sat
Cardio/yoga - Tues/Thurs
Actually, I'm not sure what I'll do on Tuesday/Thursday. I plan on doing Turbo Jam & Biggest Loser dvds (Thanks to Mary who let Shaun burn them for me).
I hope to join the gym on May 18th so I can do:
Monday - Cardio Pump & Crunch
Tuesday - Yoga
Wed - Ball class (with Wendy)
Thurs - Run
Friday - Run
Saturday - Step or Run
Sunday - Boot Camp
I Thought about doing hot yoga, but that's way too expensive. we'll see how it goes.
Now I have to work on eating properly....no more cinnamon raisin bagels toasted w/ butter :(
gotta look good...
Monday April 6, 2009
Oooo, today's the long awaited day. I'm going to start my workout today.
hmm, I'm not sure how to approach this, but hopefully it'll all workout.
I figure one cheat day a week, that'll be good.
Since today is snowing/cold, I'll try either Turbo Jam or Biggest loser workout tonight.
oh, and Wii Fit doesn't count as a workout :P
Ooo, I forgot to mention, I'm trying to watch what I drink & condiments I use when I eat.
So, as much as I love Orange Juice, I'm going to give it up for a bit....
No more Diet Coke (only on cheat days)
No more jam/honey for breakfast.
i love salt, so I"m keeping that in the diet...and toyo
I'll try to be detailed when I post my daily meals.
Meals & Workout for April 6, 2009
Meals:
1. WW English Muffin w/ 1 slice of chicken bacon, cheese & 1 hb egg.
2. hb egg, yogurt w/ peanuts, cottage cheese
3. angus burger, corn & two small croissants w/ pb
4. white rice + ribs + 2 cups of salad w/ cheese
Meals & Workout for April 8, 2009
Meals:
1. WW English muffin w/ 1 slice of chicken bacon + hb egg + cheese
2. angus burger w/ corn + hb egg
3. chicken breast w/ corn
4. 3 eggs (scrambled) w/ cheese, 1 cup of salad in a wrap
Today I'm planning on doing the easy 20 min Turbo Jam workout + AbJam...or maybe I'll do the biggest loser...we'll see
Workout & Meals for April 8, 2009
Meals:
1. ww english muffin w/ cheese + 1 scrambled egg
2. chicken breast + string beans
3. chicken breast + corn
4. rice (yay) + some filipino dish w/ soup, beef, vegetables + those egg w/ ground beef ommlets
5. raisin bran w/ skim milk
Oops, i forgot to add two items i ate. in addtion to what I ate above, i had
Meal#
2. yogurt + peanuts
3. cottage cheese
man, i was hungry yesterday.
Meals & Workout for Thursday April 9, 2009
Meals:
1. 1 ww english muffin w/ 1 scrambled egg & cheese (no ketchup)
2. yogurt w/ peanuts & cottage cheese
3. 1/4 chicken (dark) + seaweed salad + other 1/2 of peanut snack pack
4. 1/4 chicken (white) w/ rice & salad
5. 1 can of calm chowder (in a 2 hour window)
I don't remember this being so difficult, but I'm losing motivation. ugh
Tomorrow I'll try to kick it back into gear.
Workout & Meals for April 13/09Meals: not very good today
1. 1 slice of 12 grain bread w/ scrambled egg & cheese
2. cottage cheese, yogart + nuts
3. rice w/ turkey and hor dervs (how ever you spell that), apple pie, & mango
4. rice w/ turkey + 2 chocolate chip cookies (mmm)
5. 1 piece of mango
Workout: Biggest Loser workout #1&2
Yesterdays workout was really good! I'm getting through workout 1 better than the first day. Workout 2 was all cardio and i was dead after 5 minutes of it (10 min workout)
My meals, weren't so good. I was studying at the library, and came across some homemade cookies. I couldn't resist. so i ate the chocolate chip cookies. They were very good.
Workout & Meals for April 14, 2009Meals:
1. 12 grain toast (w/ margarine) + cheese & scrambled egg.
2. 1 chocolate chip cookie, cottage cheese, yogart & sky flakes
3. turkey breast & corn (with a little stuffing)
4. turkey breast & corn (with a little stuffing)
5. eggplant & egg + rice & turkey soup
Workout & Meals for Wednesday, April 19, 2009Meals:
1. 12 grain toast w/ margarine, scrambled egg & cheese
2. yogart + sky flakes & cottage cheese
3. pasta salad w/ chicken schwarma
4. steak + vegetables
(with about 5 pieces of chocolate)
5. timbits (6 timbits eaten in a 2 hour time frame)
I know what you mean about spinning...makes you wonder how people have kids after that! ahha
I say you keep going back to what you enjoy. it keeps you motivated - and if you hate the exercise you are doing you'll have a negative attitude towards it. :)
i'm going back to the gym today...i'll update my blog tonight.
So this is my tentative plan:
Monday: 6:30 Cardio Pump & Crunch -- if I don't have skating
Tuesday: 7:30 Yoga
Wednesday: 6:30 TMC class
Thursdays: Swim in the morning (6:30 - 7:30) Run in the evenings (if I don't swim)
Friday: run or workout @ home
Saturday: Run/workout at home
Sunday: Boot Camp
So that's the plan...i'm not entirely convinced that I like it. I do miss my membership to the Valleys and I hope to keep it during the winter season when i'm coaching. We'll see
in the meantime, here is my meals and workout for Tuesday May 19, 2009Meal 1: Italian bread (2) with margarine and havarti cheese
Meal 2: yogurt & granola + cottage cheese
Meal 3: italian bread + margarine & cheese (i didn't want to go out for lunch)
Meal 4: chicken, ribs, rice & peas w/ carrots
Meal 5: 4 chicken wings with Rice
Workout: 60 minutes of Belly Off (this article Nessa showed me. in 8 weeks I can lose my belly).
I figure I'll try this belly off thing. It's 3 workouts a week, and I'll be working out at the gym or running on top of that. I need to lose all this back fat that I've gained in the past how many months.
Today my meals are better. I'll post it tomorrow.
Meals and Workout for Wednesday May 20, 2009Meals:
1. 1 ww english muffin w/ havarti cheese & two scrambled eggs
2. 1 orange, 1 yogart w/ granola
3. 1 chicken breast w/ salad & cheese + yogart & granola
4. cottage cheese
5. fried rice w/ two pieces of fried chicken wings & vegetables +roast beef sandwich on 12 grain bread
6. 1.5 oreo cookies
Workout: 3km walk (that's being generous). I was supposed to go biking w/ Emil, but he had some work to finish up, so I walked by myself, imagining what it would be like to win 49 million dollars.
Workout & Meals for Monday, May 25, 2009Meals:
1. ww english muffin w/ cheese + 2 hb eggs
2. chicken shwarma + cucumber & mango salad (sounds gross but pretty good. it was actually two different salads that I ate together) + Diet Pepsi
3. yogart + granola
4. 2 glasses of pineapple juice (i couldn't help the juice) w/ rice & chicken + cyote and spinach.
Meals and Workout for Tuesday, May 26, 2009Meals:
1. 1/2 a 12 grain bagel w/ sausage, egg & cheese
2. yogart + granola
3. baked chicken breast w/ frozen corn (mmm i love frozen corn)
3b) double shot cappucino with 1 splenda pack
4. pork w/ rice with 1 glass of pineapple juice
Meals & Workout for Wednesday May 27, 2009Meals:
1. 2 pieces of 12 grain toast. 1 w/ PB & banana, the other with PB & jam

Workout: none. i was so sore from running two days in a row I thought I hurt myself. I'm great today (it's thursday) but i'm getting a mani/pedi, so no workout today. Tomorrow I'll run 4 K b/c I'm saving up for Saturday's 8K

BUT Arlene offered me a cream puff and i turned it down :) woo hoo
Just a blog today: Saturday, June 6, 2009
I tried to run 5K today. I don't feel so motivated to run. I think mostly it's b/c I'm lonely when I run. I just don't feel like running. and I stop when I know , that I could keep up.
*shrugs*
Maybe once I lose some weight it'll get better. Or, I was thinking of running w/ the Running room group, but they run on Wednesdays (conflicts w/ my ball class) & Sundays (synchro practice). We'll see.

Workout: 60 mins kick boxing
Wow, it's been a while.
I've been meaning to write, but i always forgot. I'll be better now.
I'm doing a Valley's Summer Challenge, and i need to keep track of when I worked out.

I'll get better about this. I have to. less than 90 days to fit into my bridesmaids dress.
:( I just looked @ a recent photo from a friend's wedding shower.
Boy do I look gross.
:(
somehow I feel, no matter how hard I am trying to eat well and work out more, it's not working the way it did last year.
Workout for Wednesday, July 29/09
60 mins: TMC
I'm thinking, I'll have to start to do more cardio if I want to get rid of my belly. I feel like that super huge fat guy from Austin Powers. I'm really hating cardio, but if I have to look, I have to look good.
*sigh*
We're going to Boston this weekend. I'll try my best to not eat A LOT of chocolate chip cookies, & I'll try to be good. It sucks going away.
